If you have never been here, this is what happens when you walk through the door at Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud Pasadena: no appointment, in Spanish or English, with the price clear before you go in. This guide describes a first visit so you arrive knowing what to expect.
Where is the clinic, and when is it open?
We are at 1101 Spencer Hwy, Suite H, South Houston, TX 77587, on Spencer Hwy in the Pasadena area. We open every day from 9 in the morning to 9 at night, Saturdays and Sundays included. You can come at lunchtime or after work; there is no need to call first, though you can at (281) 747-8817 if you want to confirm something.
What happens at the first visit?
- Front desk. You give your name and a photo ID and tell us what brings you: a symptom, an exam you were asked for, or a checkup.
- Price before you go in. We tell you what the visit costs and any tests you might need. No surprises at the end.
- The visit. The medical team sees you in Spanish or English, examines you and explains what they find in plain words.
- Tests in the same place. If a blood or urine test, a rapid test or an ultrasound is needed, it is done right here, without sending you elsewhere.
- Leaving with a plan. You go home with your prescription, your instructions and, when needed, the date to review results or follow up.
What can you take care of here?
The everyday and the specific: general visits for children and adults, diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol and thyroid care, gynecology and family planning, men's health, blood and urine lab work, ultrasound and EKG, vaccines, IV vitamin therapy, wound care and minor surgery. Also the exams that come with a form: the DOT physical for a CDL, school and sports physicals, and the immigration medical exam with a USCIS-authorized physician.
What if I have no insurance?
You do not need it. We work with direct prices: you pay for the visit or the package you choose, in cash or by card, and that is it. If you have insurance you are welcome too. We publish fixed-price promotions, such as the Complete General Checkup for $99, which includes a general blood test, A1C, urine test and a free medical visit.
What should I bring?
A photo ID, the list of medications you take (or the bottles), and any result or document related to your visit: an order from another physician, your vaccine card if you come for immigration, or your license if you come for the DOT exam. If you come fasting for lab work, bring something to eat afterward.

Start with a checkup
If it has been more than a year since your last checkup, the best first step is a checkup with blood tests. For women, gynecology; for truck drivers, the DOT exam. Come when you can: the door is open 9 to 9.
