Leaving the visit with your medication in hand, without looking for another pharmacy, without waiting and with an explanation in Spanish or English of how to take it. At Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud Pasadena the medications the physician prescribes at your visit are provided at the same clinic.

Which medications are provided at the clinic?

Those on the prescription written at your visit: antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and pain relievers, medications for blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol, allergy medications, treatments for vaginal and urinary infections and other commonly used ones, in generic form whenever one exists, plus over-the-counter products for colds, pain, allergies and stomach upset. If a medication is not available that day, we give you the prescription to fill at the pharmacy of your choice.

Why generics?

They contain the same active ingredient, in the same dose and with the same quality controls as the brand, and cost a fraction. When there is a relevant difference between brand and generic, the physician tells you; when there is not, the generic is the option that protects your wallet.

Will they explain how to take it?

Yes, before you leave: dose, times, with or without food, for how many days, what to do if you miss a dose and which side effects are normal and which are not. It is also checked that the new medication does not interfere with the ones you already take, which is why it is important to always bring your list or your bottles.

Can I buy without a visit?

Over-the-counter products, yes. Prescription medications require a visit with the clinic's physician, because the prescription is written here; if you bring a prescription from another office, ask by phone whether it can be filled. If you need to renew a long-term treatment, the follow-up visit is quick and needs no appointment.

How much do medications cost in Pasadena?

What should I know about antibiotics?

Take the full course, for the days indicated, even if you feel better sooner; do not save them "for next time" or share them. A misused antibiotic stops working when it is really needed. If it does not agree with you, do not stop it without telling us: it is switched for another.

What is the visit like?

Walk in from 9 AM to 9 PM, see the physician and, if a medication is prescribed, pick it up at the clinic before you leave. Bring your medication list and your allergies. Long-term treatments are managed under chronic conditions; the lab tests sometimes ordered to monitor a medication, under blood tests.
