Men's Health Exams: PSA & Testosterone
Men's health exams: prostate antigen (PSA), testosterone and general checkup, in Spanish.

- Prostate antigen (PSA)
- Testosterone level
- General men's checkup
- Results explained in Spanish
Men come to the doctor late, with blood pressure, sugar or the prostate already affected. The men's checkup at Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud Pasadena is built for the man who works all day: no appointment, open until 9 at night, in Spanish or English, and with lab work at the same visit.
What does the men's checkup include?
A visit with blood pressure, weight and symptom review; blood tests with glucose, cholesterol, kidney and liver function; prostate-specific antigen (PSA) when age or family history call for it; testosterone if there are symptoms; urinalysis; and, if the physician orders it, an EKG. Results are explained calmly and turned into a plan: what to repeat, what to treat and when to return.
At what age is the prostate checked?
The PSA test is discussed with the physician from age 50, and from 45 if your father or a brother had prostate cancer. A high PSA does not mean cancer: it also rises with infection, inflammation or benign prostate enlargement, which is very common after 50. Symptoms such as getting up several times at night to urinate, a weak stream or dribbling deserve a visit at any age.
When is testosterone worth measuring?
When there is persistent tiredness, lower sex drive, erection difficulty, loss of muscle mass or low mood without a clear cause. The sample is drawn in the morning, when the level is highest, and if it is low it is repeated to confirm before discussing treatment. Low testosterone often comes with excess weight, diabetes or sleep apnea, and treating those improves the level.
Which infection tests are done?
Tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV, with treatment at the same clinic once the result confirms it, and evaluation of urinary infections with a urinalysis. All confidential: the results are yours and are not shared.
How much do men's exams cost in Pasadena?
The published prices are those of the current promotions: Check Your Testosterone for $79, which includes a testosterone test, urine test and a free medical visit; and the Men's Hormone Panel for $200. For a stand-alone PSA or a checkup with full labs, call (281) 747-8817 and we give you the price. No health insurance is needed.
What is the visit like?
Walk in from 9 AM to 9 PM; if you come for testosterone, morning is best. The sample is drawn and, when the result is ready, you review it with the medical team and leave with your plan in writing. If something calls for a urologist or cardiologist, we guide the referral.
