Alcohol and drug testing for work and paperwork, fast and with documentation.

- Drug test for employment
- Alcohol test
- Fast process
- Result documentation
A new job, a promotion, a contract or a legal process: more and more procedures require a drug and alcohol test. At Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud Pasadena it is done with no appointment, discreetly, and you leave with the result documentation to hand in.
Which drug and alcohol tests are done?
A urine drug test with a panel of the substances employers most often request (marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, phencyclidine and, in extended panels, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, methadone and others) and an alcohol test. The rapid test gives a result in the clinic; when the employer requires lab confirmation, the sample is sent out and the result is delivered in writing.
Does it work for employment?
Yes, for pre-employment, random or reasonable-suspicion tests a company requests, and for personal or legal processes that require proof. If your employer requires the federal protocol for commercial drivers (a DOT test with chain of custody and a certified lab), confirm by phone before coming so we can tell you whether we can perform it or where to go. The DOT physical for the CDL is done at the clinic.
How long are substances detectable?
It depends on the substance and the use. In urine, alcohol is detectable for up to 12 to 24 hours; cocaine, 2 to 4 days; amphetamines, 2 to 4 days; opiates, 2 to 4 days; marijuana, from 3 days with occasional use to 30 days or more with frequent use. These are general ranges, not guarantees.
Which medications can cause a positive?
Some prescription and over-the-counter medications can cause an initial positive: opioid pain relievers, ADHD medications, certain anti-anxiety drugs and codeine cough syrups, among others. Bring your prescriptions or bottles: if the initial result is positive because of a prescribed medication, lab confirmation tells the difference and it is documented.
How is the sample collected?
Your identity is verified, the urine sample is collected in a clinic restroom following staff instructions and the container is sealed in front of you. For the alcohol test, the available method is used according to what your employer or process requests. The whole process takes a few minutes; avoid drinking large amounts of water beforehand, since very diluted urine can invalidate the sample.
How much does a drug test cost in Pasadena?
We give you the price of the rapid test and of lab confirmation by phone at (281) 747-8817. No health insurance is needed; we accept cash and cards. If your employer pays, bring that in writing.
What should I bring?
A valid photo ID, the employer's form or request if you were given one, the list of medications you take and, if applicable, the order for the process. Walk in from 9 AM to 9 PM. The blood tests that sometimes go with a new job are drawn at the same visit.
